Proyecto SALUD!

Mission

Proyecto SALUD is a joint effort with the Gallatin City-County Health Department, the College of Engineering, and the Latino community to promote the health of the local immigrant population in the Gallatin Valley through the SALUD project. Using a community-based participatory research (CBPR) approach, the research team is working with local community members to identify barriers to optimal health in the region. They plan to use the Promotores de Salud program model to recruit the Latino community as an active partner in their health planning through the delivery of health education sessions.
