Community Health Fairs

Since 2019, the group and Moyce’s research laboratory have hosted health fairs, partnering with community organizations and nonprofits to provide health care to community members in West Yellowstone, Bozeman and Belgrade.  Since the first health fair, the team has served over 300 patients in Gallatin County. Several fairs are planned for the Bozeman/Big Sky communities in 2023.

Each health fair offers medical screenings with body mass index, blood pressure and diabetes checks; dental services with exams, X-rays, cleanings and sealants. Often, we are able to also offer COVID-19 vaccinations and vision screenings.

 

Over 80% of health fair participants report that they do not have medical insurance or a primary care doctor. This may be their only access to primary care services.
